This Privacy Policy describes what information BeingSaid (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Service, and how we use it.
Information we collect
Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID.
Content you submit: the text you paste or upload, the concepts extracted from it, and the search results we return.
Payment information: if you purchase search blocks, payment is handled by Stripe — we don’t store your card details ourselves.
Usage data: basic product analytics (e.g. pages visited, searches run) collected via PostHog, to help us understand and improve the Service.
How we use it
- To run the Service — extracting concepts from your text and searching the web on your behalf.
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To process payments for search blocks.
- To monitor and improve the Service’s reliability and features.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share your submitted text with anyone other than the third-party services (below) needed to run the Service.
Third parties
We use a small number of third-party services to operate BeingSaid: Google (sign-in), Anthropic (concept extraction), Brave Search (web search), Stripe (payments), Supabase (data storage), and PostHog (product analytics). Each processes the minimum data needed to do its job.
Data retention
We keep your submitted text, extracted concepts, and search results so you can revisit past runs from your history, until you request deletion. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time (see Contact below).
Your choices
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your account, or opt out of product analytics tracking, by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
